ANELBRAS® style SW snap rings (circlips) for shafts are, with the exception of the circular wire rings, the retaining systems with the smallest radial width.

Specifications

It is important to know that in the larger diameters, the loosening rotational speeds of the SW shaft rings are low. When using SW snap rings (circlips) for the transmission of larger axial forces, the possibility of choosing deeper grooves can be considered.

Low cost, low mass, small width taking up little space and good capacity to transfer load are some of its attributes. However, because its constant profile, its deformation does not occur uniformly during assembly and while inserted on the groove, making contact typically only on "three" points of the groove.

Applications:

  • Low space system;
  • Sets subjected to high rotations;
  • Systems that require low cost or low mass;
  • Gearboxes;
  • Gear system construction;
  • Securing needle bearings, needle cages and sealing elements;
  • Used as spacer elements.
